Leaf has advised the Beaumanoir Group, a major and key player in fashion in France. To consolidate its presence on the Chinese market with already more than 550 stores in China, a strategic partnership was signed for their Cache-Cache fashion brand with Zhongke, a Chinese company that has already purchased C&A.
The Beaumanoir Group has decided to partner with a strong and agile local player to consolidate its strengths and ensure a sustainable growth in a complex market. Sharing a common ambition and vision based on the creation of a shared services platform for the development of several brands, the Beaumanoir Group has decided to sell the majority of its Chinese activity to Zhongke.
“This is a win-win partnership that will allow us to consolidate our footprint on this market”, declared Roland Beaumanoir, Chairman of the Beaumanoir Group.
“This transaction led us to provide our clients who cannot travel to China with innovative solutions during the pandemic. One of the key aspects for our M&A transactions was our capacity to strengthen our negotiation capacity in financial aspects and for company valuation thanks to the support of our Corporate Finance team.” commented Bruno Grangier, Founding Partner of Leaf.
Founded in 1985, the Beaumanoir Group is a major and key player in fashion in France with over one billion euros sales in 2019 and more than 12,000 employees around the world. It also boasts more than 3,000 points of sale, including nearly 1,500 Cache Cache stores, 340 Bréal stores, 410 Bonobo stores, over 300 Morgan points of sale and 336 La Halle stores. In addition to its retailing activity, the Group owns a logistics subsidiary, C-Log, and has developed an e-business activity with Korben.
